1. Why I Cosplay - This is the final product of a University project of mine. You may remember a while back I did those cosplay surveys? This is the final thing from that project! The initial question was “Why do people cosplay?”, and the final outcome had to make people ‘think’ and ‘laugh’. So here we have a photo-comic, detailing some of the highlights of cosplay (with a couple of the lowlights for comic relief). Thanks to JP for the 9th image and Tittybasket of Little-Noise Photography for the final two images. An extra special thanks goes to Luna-Dimidiata for taking the photos of me that I couldn’t do with a tripod and timer, and another thanks to everyone who answered my survey. (Click for full-view!)

    Me cosplaying as June, and Tails cosplaying as Clover. We’re exploring the ship. Yep. And then Clover found a map of the ship and she was so excited she had to give it a hug. Anyone who’s played the game has to admit those maps are pretty useful.

  7. 999 inspired cupcakes - one for each of the main 9 characters. Hopefully you can tell which is which! Vanilla cupcakes with chocolate buttercream and fondant, baked by Luna-dimidiata and decorated by our powers combined. Luna-dimidiata is a terrible influence. I had so much to do today and instead somehow this is all that ended up happening, so now I will be getting Not Very Much Sleep. First time working with fondant though. It&#8217;s nifty stuff. Certainly a lot easier to decorate than buttercream or plain icing, anyway.

  9. I am stupidly proud of how this turned out. Both the photo (taken by Luna-Dimidiata to mimic how you see Zero in game), and my mask. It&#8217;s the first time I&#8217;ve ever made a prop like this, and I love it. There are a few tiny details missing still, but I&#8217;ll add those for the next time I wear it. But uh, yeah. This is me, cosplaying as Zero from Nine Persons, Nine Hours, Nine Doors (999). The mask is made from a paper mask base, painted up and using a combination of camping mat, craft foam, two different widths of tubing (I couldn&#8217;t find any appropriate tubing so I had to cut a bigger tube into little pieces and thread it onto a thinner tube), elastic, and a pair of circular glasses I filched the lenses from.
