polygamistpancreas: A society in which people don’t need to come out. Where there’s no such thing as gay marriage, just marriage. Where it’s not assumed that you’re straight, and you don’t have to make it obvious that you’re not. I hate that people have to come out. In real life, I prefer to be called “Jess” (followed by Jessica, then Jessie. I’m definitely not a Jessie kind of person, and only my mum can call me that without me feeling weirded out!), but I’ve been raised to use my full name in written communication.
